Overhead Door Service & Install Tech - Helper

Wallace + Wallace is looking for a full time Overhead Door Service/Install Tech to join our team.

The primary responsibilities of the 'Overhead Door Service/Install Tech - Helper' is to provide outstanding customer service to our clients, attend job sites, install overhead doors, diagnose problems, provide solutions and carry out required work while reporting directly to the Construction Supervisor.

Primary Tasks and Duties:

  • Become an integral member of the Field Service Team
  • Gaining experience on all product lines and service support
  • Attend service calls, diagnose, problem solve and repair in an efficient manner
  • Install for new builds/retrofits – Residential and Commercial projects
  • May be required to attend after hour calls when scheduled

Requirements:

  • Construction and/or Electrical experience is considered an asset
  • Willingness to learn and grow a career within the company
  • Good customer service, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must be reliable and courteous
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driver's abstract
  • Comfortable with heights (ladders & lifts)
  • Good physical condition

Automated Gate Technician

Shipping and Receiving

We are seeking a full time Shipping and Receiving team member. The role requires an individual who is hands on, self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Tasks and Duties:

  • Responsible for the safe flow of industrial goods in and out of our warehouse and yard, checking for accuracy, and appropriately processing orders. Supports the warehouse by stocking shelves, performing housekeeping activities within the work area, and operating a forklift in support of the movement of goods
  • Receives goods into inventory, including unpacking and verifying contents against appropriate documents
  • Prepares packages to be sent out in accordance with information on the packing slip; picks and packs goods for shipment as per customer and branch orders.
  • Ensures goods are shipped in accordance with organizational best practices and customer requirements
  • Stock shelves with received shipments, using the appropriate sorting/organization system and equipment, including forklifts
  • Ensures the warehouse is maintained in a clean and organized fashion at all times
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
  • Operates forklift and activities within the work area in a safe manner

The Candidate Requirements:

  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Positive attitude and the ability to work within a team environment
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • High School

Accounting Analyst

Working alongside the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Manager, this full-time Accounting Analyst position will perform a variety of accounting and clerical duties such as preparing monthly bank reconciliations, payroll processing, handling incoming payments from customers, following up on collections and general accounting assistance as required.  They will be responsible for establishing and promoting a positive and professional work environment with coworkers & customers to ensure maximum productivity and quality goals are achieved. 

        Responsibilities:

·         Acts as a key member of the accounting team to ensure that transactions are recorded per the Company's policies

·         Full cycle accounts receivable including preparation and distribution of Company invoices and collection, applying cash receipts from customer’s payments in form of cheques, credit card payments, as well as EFT payment, and following up on outstanding invoices

·         Full cycle accounts payable including review of vendor invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper matching, and coding. Corresponds with vendors to resolve issues and organize and file all invoices & payment requisitions

·         Adjust, maintain and process payroll using a third-party service provider as it pertains to new hires, terminations, wage increases, etc.

·         Expense report preparation and processing

·         General month-end accounting including bank reconciliations, GST/PST filing, and other period end accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

·         A minimum of 1-2 years accounting experience

·         Post Secondary Education in Accounting

·         Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP an asset

·         Previous Payroll experience an asset

·         Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly MS Excel

·         Strong analytical skills along with attention to detail

·         Excellent organizational skills
