Automated Gate/Door Service and Installation Technician 

We are seeking a full-time Automated Gate/Door Service and Installation Technician to join our team.

The Automated Gate/Door Service and Installation Technician provides technical support services to customers which includes the installation, maintenance and repair of automated gates and doors in a safe and professional manner. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starter and prepared to play an integral role in our automated gate division.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation of automated gates including assembly, build up, low voltage electrical and access control wiring. 
  • Perform mechanical servicing of automated gates 
  • Ensure all necessary parts required to complete the service job are ready and available for work 
  • Complete safety reports, time sheets and service reports daily utilizing both digital and paper based communication with office and clients as needed 
  • Available for afterhours service calls 
  • Perform mechanical service of overhead doors as required 
  • Take direction and communicate with Operations Manager Gates & Doors regarding scheduling of jobs 
  • Perform mechanical services for fences as requested and required Gate service and gate maintenance

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum Grade 12 education 
  • Valid Driver's License required 
  • Knowledge of automated gate systems 
  • Mechanically inclined 
  • Good Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral 
  • Strong customer service skills in dealing with customers and co-workers 
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment 
  • Ability to plan and prioritize jobs Ability to thrive in a service based working environment 
  • Ability to lift and move 50 lbs 
  • Desire to continue learning new products and technologies as they develop in the industry.

Overhead Door Service/Installation Technician Helper

Wallace + Wallace is looking for a full time Overhead Door Service/Install Tech Helper to join our team.

The primary responsibilities of the 'Overhead Door Service/Install Tech - Helper' is to provide outstanding customer service to our clients, attend job sites, install overhead doors, diagnose problems, provide solutions and carry out required work while reporting directly to the Construction Supervisor.

Primary Tasks and Duties:

  • Become an integral member of the Field Service Team
  • Gaining experience on all product lines and service support
  • Attend service calls, diagnose, problem solve and repair in an efficient manner
  • Install for new builds/retrofits – Residential and Commercial projects
  • May be required to attend after hour calls when scheduled

Requirements:

  • Construction and/or Electrical experience is considered an asset
  • Willingness to learn and grow a career within the company
  • Good customer service, communication and problem solving skills
  • Must be reliable and courteous
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driver's abstract
  • Comfortable with heights (ladders & lifts)
  • Good physical condition with the ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.

Fence Installers, Winnipeg, MB

We are currently seeking Warehouse/Yard team members for shipping and receiving. The ideal candidate will provide professional and courteous assistance to customers, have great interpersonal skills, and work well in a team environment.

The Role:

The role requires an individual who is hands on, self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Your duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Loading and unloading shipments 
• Ensure the accurate and seamless reception and processing of incoming products 
• Occasional product deliveries 
• Assist customers in loading of materials 
• Ensure that products are properly stocked
• Pick and pack goods for shipment as per customer and branch orders
• Performs additional duties as assigned Operate a forklift and other activities within the work area in a safe manner

A valid Class 5 driver’s license and repetitive lifting and/or heavy lifting is required for certain positions.

The Candidate:

• Organized and detail oriented
• Positive attitude and the ability to work within a team environment
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills
• Education: High School

Forklift Experience (Valid Forklift license/certification is an asset – training and certification will be provided)
